The 2002 Road Runners Club of America National Convention, is scheduled for May 2nd - 5th in Norfolk, Va. Anyone interested in attending can get more information at www.rrca.org/events/con2002. Included in the convention will be the Elizabeth River Run, on Saturday May 4th. This event is also the RRCA's National 10k Championship. The host Club this year is The Tidewater Striders Running Club.
The USA Track & Field 2002 Youth Athletics National Championships will be held July 3rd - 7th, 2002, at Tropical Park, Miami, Florida. Any youth who is and has NOT REACHED their 19th birthday before July 29, 2002 is eligible for this competition. USATF performance standards are recommended but not required.
